Say YES to NYS! is a call to action for all Newburyport Youth Services (NYS) supporters to show backing for NYS’ future in asking the City to secure funds for a permanent location for NYS that meets its current and future needs.
In October 2018 the City of Newburyport announced that Mayor Holaday and other city officials are considering the Emergency Management Agency property on Low Street as the potential permanent location for NYS. This location is ideal, as it is centrally located and sits in very close proximity to the schools.
Although the existing building on this property requires significant renovations, Youth Services and the City have a positive outlook about its potential to meet NYS’ immediate and future requirements. A building renovation or rebuild also provides opportunity for NYS and youth to design the space to best meet their needs.
